Keith,
All we ask is that people check us out before jumping to conclusions. Almost every driver that has called us with negative intent has either changed his or her opinion or at least altered their opinion of us. Not checking is like calling a phone number from a mens room, you really never know who or what will answer on the other end, until you make the call. Thanks for making the call.
Comments on P.A.T.T. Freind or Foe?
Para 2:
There were four female pasengers, Linda Tardif survived, with a broken leg,
a shattered ankle and horrendous mental scars. Her dad is a long haul truck
driver.
Para 7:
There was certainly evidence against the truck driver, but he was not
indicted by the Grand Jury and that is fact. The truck driver did receive a
citation for a false log book. He was sentenced to 4 months in jail and
fined $1,000, he actually served about 90 days. He was a 22 year, million
mile safe driver with a clean record, a few seconds micro sleep erased
all that.
Para 8:
Revenge is not a factor in what P.A.T.T. does. We just don't want anyone
else to have to go through what we go through every day. We have never said
that Robert Hornbarger murdered our son. We do not believe, nor have we
ever believed that he intended to do what he did do.
Para 10:
The fact that most crashes are the fault of the private motorists originated
with NHTSA and they no longer use it because it can't be confirmed. 98% of
all fatalities involving large trucks are other than the truck driver, who
is left to say who did what? Would the survivor admit readily that they
were at fault?
We at P.A.T.T. do not get paid. We are all volunteers.
We have nothing to gain except saving lives.
Together we can all save lives.
