Sometimes getting to the lake powell can be an adventure and since I have so many pictures and stores I decided to make a page about it. More to come when I get the time.

I live in Kaysville Utah which is about half way between Ogden and Salt Lake City. When we go to Lake Powell we usally start out at about 4:00 AM in the morning and drive to Wahweep. The normal routine is to have everything ready the night before, carry the sleeping kids to the van and drive to my dads house to meet with the others. Now my dad runs on standard Utah time which is 1 hour late for everything so I like to get to his house early and help/push him along. As you can see from this picture we didn't get on are way until it was light. The boat up front is mine and my dads is behind it. We also took two runabouts on this trip along with 15 people. The overhead with a trip this big can be challenging but it lowers the cost of the trip. This was the last trip my poor old van made to Lake Powell. After 400,000 + miles it died but thats another story.
